As a Christian parent who has decided that home schooling is the right option for your children, you may (or may not) be aware of the numerous home schooling curriculums available. Your options are numerous.
There are three overarching curriculum options you have available as a home schooler:
1. Natural learning:
This is the most unstructured of the three approaches. With natural learning, children pursue knowledge based on their personal interests and parents facilitate activities to ‘unlock’ this knowledge. Natural learning does not rely on textbooks or formal educational processes.
2. Eclectic
The eclectic approach to home schooling is where parents pick and choose individual subjects from various curriculum providers, and cobble them together to form a learning program.
3. Structured
Structured home schoolers select a curriculum and teach all the subjects in this curriculum to their children. ACHS is an example of a structured curriculum provider. For detailed information about our curriculum please click here.
If after weighing up the curriculum options above you have decided that a structured curriculum with ACHS is the best option for you, please begin the process of joining ACHS »
